Understanding NLP

This module will give you a greater depth of understanding how the mind works and how this can impact your lives and the choices you make. It entails understanding and recognising how the mind, body and behaviour (actions) are interlinked and can positively or negatively affect you. You will also learn how external factors can influence the way we behave.

Reframing

This is a technique used to help create a different way of looking at a situation, person, or relationship by changing its meaning. It is also known as cognitive reframing, it’s a strategy which therapists/ coaches often use to help clients look at situations from a slightly different perspective.

Circle of Excellence

 

This technique (also called the golden ring of power) is using an imaginary circle on the floor as a spatial anchor to install new or additional resources relative to a situation where different behaviour or thinking is desired. It is an anchoring exercise that will put you into a positive state, mind and body.

Breaking Through Limiting Beliefs

Here you will learn the process in how to break down those limiting beliefs and replace them with beliefs that serve you and your business better, bringing success.You will learn about where belief systems stem from and why. These beliefs are often about yourselves and your self-identity.

Eye Accessing Cues

This is a fantastic technique to learn. You will learn how eye accessing cues are behaviours in the movement of the eyes that will both help to trigger and indicate which representational system a person is using to think with such as: voice tone, tempo, body posture, gestures and breathing patterns.

 

You will learn the meaning of the different representational movements of the eyes to understand another person’s thought pattern based on certain eye directions that indicate visual, auditory or kinaesthetic thinking. 

Perceptual Positioning

This technique is used highly in businesses. For example, in a conflict, meetings, relationships or misunderstandings. You will learn how to take the position of the other person – sitting inside their mind and body to change your view of them or the situation by exploring different angles. Also referred to as The Fly on the Wall.  You will come away confident and with using this practical technique.
